Day 2 of the Emerald City Blanket:

Now that I’m more than a repeat in, the diamonds are starting to show! It’s reversible, so the v’s and bumps will be switched on the other side. I anticipate the knit stitches to start curling in a bit more as they get further from the needles, making the motif more evident.

Emerald City Blanket Day 1:

My needles were on fire yesterday (and listening to The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson) and even though it's bulky weight and builds quickly, that's still a lot of progress for 160 stitches. Much happier with this than my previous green velvet blanket attempts!

While Mr Squirl has been building a home I was out buying a shirt AND shorts with this pattern. Go me.

This month’s word suggested by my Patreon is Quirky. I’m fond of the word, and my design methods are more than a little quirky themselves! I turned the letters of the word into numbers, charted the numbers in various ways, and then picked two charts to turn into lace and a charted design respectively:

Testing @affinitybyserif Affinity Designer. There’s a lot of things I don’t know how to find or do. But I did a free course taught by @lizkohlerbrown & learned a little. There’s no substitute to @procreate interface. It’s the most if not the only app that feels like sketching freely on paper.
