Reloaded card with latest OS
Reloaded dump1090-fa
Reloaded all the various sundry feeder scripts
Loaded log2ram in an attempt to minimize writes to card, so I don't have to keep doing this.

I MUST NOT WRITE. WRITES ARE THE SD-CARD-KILLER. WRITES ARE THE LITTLE-DEATH THAT BRINGS TOTAL CARD OBLITERATION. I WILL CACHE MY WRITES. I WILL PERMIT WRITES TO REMAIN IN MEMORY AND THROUGH ME. AND WHEN THE DATA HAS GONE PAST I WILL FLUSH THE DATA INTO THE ETHER. WHERE THE WRITES HAVE GONE THERE WILL BE NOTHING. ONLY STATIC DATA WILL REMAIN.

#RetroGaming continues to be the most absurd hobby:

I have ripped #ROMs for all the #games, converted them to CHD files, open source #emulator cores to run them, all the bios files, a device with a screen and all the buttons, but I still can't play my games.

Why? Because I can't get the ROM files on the #SDCard. Every time I start transferring the files it stops at some point and the Card becomes corrupted and won't mount anymore.

Tried three SD card readers, and two cards...

Hey all, is there a way to check an SD Card's health? Checking via Windows 10 or Linux Mint 21.3. My SD Card for my Nintendo Switch will let me play games off of it, but when I try to look at my screenshots, it says there is an error. So I worry. Its a Samsung that I bought, not a purpose-branded SanDisc, as it was a lot cheaper.

I'd prefer to be able to test with included software and a GUI, but I'll take whatever if it's free.

Thanks.

The SD 9.1 specification brings support for microSD Express cards with speeds up to 2GB/s, or twice the previous top speed introduced in the SD 9.1 spec. It does this via a PCIe Gen4 x1 lane. The SD Association has also unveiled four new SD Express classes with minimum speeds ranging from 150 MB/s to 600 MB/s. businesswire.com/news/home/202 #SDCard #SDExpress #SDAssociation #Storage

I just noticed these #Teamgroup branded #memory cards on #Amazon that seem like a great deal! They claim 160/110 MB/s read/write which is pretty fast. Not sure I'd trust them for more than 256GB at a time, but these 128s are cheap enough to throw away!
