province #linocut is Alberta, with its provincial animal, the big horn sheep and its famous flower, the wild rose. The block was inked ‘à la poupée’ (with different colours, green, pinks, yellow and gray-brown, in different areas) and printed by hand on lovely Japanese kozo (or mulberry) paper.
It was obvious, despite the various symbols of the province from which to choose

This is my #linocut of New Brunswick, a province I have visited many times. Its provincial bird, the black-capped chickadee and its tree, the balsam fir cover the hand-carved map of New Brunswick. After decades of artistic liberties, folk singer Buffy Sainte-Marie' admits she is not #Canadian and her #Polaris music prize was revoked.
That same day, the #Canadian #Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences said in a news release: "Following a thorough review, consultations with the CARAS #IndigenousMusic Advisory Committee, and in light of recent information, including Ms. Sainte-Marie’s confirmation that she is not Canadian, #CARAS will revoke Buffy Sainte-Marie's #JUNOAwards and Canadian Music #HallofFame induction in accordance with its eligibility requirements."
While long swirling rumors of native ancestry go unchecked , it has been investigated that the octogenarian folk music artist had no genetic ties to indigenous tribal ancestry. Sainte-Marie has said that when she was a young adult she was #adopted by a #Cree family in the Canadian #province of #Saskatchewan and has "lived with uncertainty" about her true heritage.

1. They blocked my account, insisting I add my "taxpayer ID" to my account.
2. I don't have a problem with that, *but* when you do so, Etsy stops collecting and remitting Canada's #GST and/or #HST from buyers. It's now Your Problem. However...
3. They do not provide a way to let sellers add the taxes to their prices/transactions. You just have to take it out of your item price. Which means...
4. Because #tax #rates vary across Canada, from 5% to 15%, you would have to set your price differently in each #province or #territory to account for it. But ...
5. Etsy does not provide a way to do that. So ...
6. You have to add 15% to your prices, charge everyone that, and then back-calculate the "real" item price differently for each province and territory, for every sale. Which is bad enough, but ...
7. Etsy does keep collecting the *#PST* from buyers in 3 of the provinces. So it effectively charges PST on the GST/HST you've included in the prices. Back-calculating from *that* is more painful. And you're lying about the amount of tax paid on the receipts Etsy generates, which is a *#crime*.
TL;DR: Etsy makes sales impossibly difficult, and makes you complicit in a crime while doing so. Fun.
