I've decided to drop #Canvas and just use a static website for my course this fall. I'm still using #Gradescope for grading since I haven't found a drop-in #FOSS replacement yet and the fall semester starts soon.

I was also wishing for a self-hosted learning management system in a previous post. I didn't know about #Moodle. We used #Blackboard when I was in college. Since this might be my last year at this postdoc, I don't want to change too much, but I'm definitely going to consider it in future years. It looks like Moodle does have some kind of homework grading functionality, so maybe that should replace Gradescope. When I looked at the Canvas version of this feature before, it was terrible, so I'm not sure how much I can hope for with Moodle.

it could have been perl or maybe something else. In the end does it really matter? Php was the communication tool people chose to write poems like #wikipedia, #wordpress, #drupal, #moodle and countless other applications that made the open source web a thriving reality.

With all the pomp and competense of newer arrivals, whether #golang, #typescript, #rust or #elixir, they haven't quite made web history yet.

In the end only impact matters and php did it.

Is anybody out there experienced with #moodle? I've got a LART-worthy problem that the official fix won't work with.

Only the guest account can log in. Username/password fields aren't even displayed on the front page. Multiple browsers and attempts.

Sans tambour ni trompette, j'ai l'impression que ça y est : MathALEA de @coopmaths est disponible dans l'activité @capytale de #Moodle #Éléa , avec report des scores MathALEA dans le carnet de notes, après validation de l'enseignant.
Ca peut sembler un peu obscur dit comme ça, mais la #TeamProfsdeMaths est en joie.
Et c'est l'exemple même d'une synergie possible car génétiquement programmée avec les #communs_numeriques : le partage, la redistribution, l'adaptation, c'est "de base" avec les logiciels et ressources libres. Ici nous avons :
- Eléa, projet initié dans l'académie de Versailles
- Capytale, porté par l'académie de Paris,
- et MathALEA développé par des profs de maths, regroupés en association loi 1901 (Coopmaths), elle même soutenue par la #DNE.
Le tout regroupé dans #laforgeedu et mis à la disposition (ou en passe de l'être dans quelques mois) des élèves et des profs de toutes les académies (y compris #AEFE et #MLF ).
