Dear Maggie (5);

Fifth "shot" and before the last of Maggie's series. This one in particular is interesting because I used a technique that I don't typically use; not much. This is the "super-resolution" technique.
In the past, I had a program to do this (I think it was called "PhotoAcute"). However, I learned later on how to do this directly in Photoshop. New versions of Photoshop do have such an option implemented, but I don't know how it works really. The goal of such technique, anyway, is to increase the resolution of an image almost to a double. Useful in case you'd be thinking of cropping the image in the end, but one has to take many shots to combine them together (which was done here). In fact, I might as well crop this image and zoom only on the flower since it is in super-resolution!!

Dear Maggie (4);

Again with Maggie (before it went POFF!). I think this one was done again with focus stacking, but instead of cropping to 16:9, I've cropped it into a square. The color processing was also different a bit here as I kept the somewhat luminous green. This brightness or shade of green is aided by the color of the shade above the yard which is green, and here, instead of correcting the colors, I've worked with the tint. I'm still wondering what this flower is called though!

Dear Maggie…

I was going to post another selfie for today, but it just happened that I've made this shot yesterday in the morning. It was shot with my Huawei and in RAW.
This flower (which I called "Maggie" from Magenta, because I don't know its common or scientific name) is one of the hardest to shoot, for me. For a) The tone of the color always makes a problem for me whether in phone camera or DSLR, and b) It closes by night (or almost disappears) and must be shot during the day under the sun (and working under the sun is always hard, specially if for macro). Anyway, I managed to shoot it with DSLR handheld and in "simple" macro, which I might be posting later (still processing the images).

Periwinkle Perfection

This photograph features a vibrant cluster of pink Madagascar periwinkles (Catharanthus roseus) against a shadowy backdrop. The composition highlights a single flower in the foreground, with the remaining blooms elegantly layered behind. Each flower showcases five delicate petals with a darker pink center, drawing attention to the small, visible receptacle at the heart of the bloom.

Flowers and Foliage make up one of the largest collections in my photo gallery. I’d love for you to take a moment to explore it!
