Here is a fairly recent ( I really must get around to updating my website with these!) Kids' Drawing story make for a wee girl, who was very specific with her instructions to me on the drawing, and then also via her Mum who ensured I made the head cream and not yellow, gave her blue eyes, and added in the brown fringe 😊 I decided to also add the rest of the hair and make the hoodie removable from the head and added a little green skirt and some black shoes.

Here's a smol Buneary friend that now lives on my shelf!

I started making them back in like mid-December, by which point I'd spent the past month making Christmas presents and was desperately craving something else to crochet! I thought the puff stitch on the legs and ears looked really unique and fun - and it was!

Their body sat finished for over a month, until I finally finished making them last week! And now I have another cute Pokémon ami to add to my collection! 😊

Granny Hexagon cardigan, made in May last year. This was actually the first item of clothing I ever made that was bigger and more complex than a shawl; I used to get really bored with long projects and was super intimidated by things like guage and sizing. I'm still a bit confused by sizing to be honest (which I think is possibly dyspraxia related?) but since making this I've made two more cardigans and two jumpers so I guess I'm a long projects kind of person now. \o/

Pattern by Passionknit Kelsie on YouTube, which I highly recommend for anyone who is new to crochet and wants to try making a cardigan for the first time - it's really well explained and easy to get the hang of!

Dear knitters of Mastodon,

Many years ago, I started this top-down circular yoke stranded colourwork jumper, hoping to knit my own ugly Christmas jumper, using a pattern by Drops (ravelry.com/patterns/library/1), using DK-weight Drops Karisma yarn (ravelry.com/yarns/library/garn), knitting on 4mm needles.

I stopped knitting because I made a mistake and couldn't face the frogging.

Now I want to frog the whole thing and start over, in part because I feel like my stranded colourwork skills are much better now.

I am wondering if I should find a different pattern? Maybe I don't want the jumper to be "ugly" anymore, so it would be a bit more wearable? Don't know if ugliness vibes are completely avoidable, given the colourways that I have.

QUESTION: do you have any suggestions for your favourite circular yoke stranded colourwork jumper patterns that might suit the yarn that I have (MC: 500 grams / 1000 m; CC: 100 grams / 200 m)?

I never actually completed a circular yoke, or a stranded colourwork jumper, so maybe something that has some good alternation between the colours would be best, just in case I don't manage a good tension on longer floats.

First finished knitting project in years: the reversible Basketweaver beanie by Westknits (ravelry.com/patterns/library/t), with yarn from Northbound Knitting (northboundknitting.com/) and Yarnalia, purchased at Good Grief Yarn in Toronto (goodgriefyarn.com/).

All pics are from unblocked product, since I finished it about 45 minutes before saying goodbye to the lovely guest who stayed with me for the past few weeks, and who was the recipient of the beanie. I gave them a small bottle of Eucalan and will instruct them on how to wash and block the beanie. Hope they will enjoy it!

Have good memories especially of knitting during a Sunday afternoon of lunch, drinks, snacks and board games at my other friend's place ❤️
