I was making this doily in size 20 Lizbeth thread (orig pattern for size 30) and finally found my fumbling guesstimation calculation scribblings I wrote when I made it the first time close to 2 decades ago (antique patterns aren't always straightforward). The pattern was from the old Antique Pattern Library nonprofit site. But when I checked last year you can only see the patterns by visiting the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine). #crochet #crafting #fiberarts #lacemaking

Good morning everyone 🌻 Long lie for me today as Grant got up for the parrots. I am sitting with them now drinking my first coffee. Ziggy is grumbling happily while chewing on her plastic links, Jadie is fighting with her toys and Toby is searching through his bowl for any piece of breakfast he may have possibly missed. Yesterday evening when he came out he went to sit on the bookshelf behind his cage and stayed there until it was time for him to go back in for the night. Usually he is causing chaos by trying to get behind the telly or trying to chew Grant's nerdy figurines (he has a particular fondness for the Emperor Palpatine bobble head) but sometimes he just chooses to sit and contemplate the world quietly, making just the occasional thoughtful clicking noise ☺️

A bimble round Lidl this morning and then back to crochet for custom orders later.

Let's talk about blocking your crochet pieces. Blocking is magic and can bring your project to a whole new level.
Swipe to see what this snowflake ornament looked like before and during blocking. In this case I was also working with starch, which I don't do for shawls. But it's useful for an ornament.
By the way - you don't need expensive equipment to block something. In this case, I used a kids' playmat and some pins. You could also use a folded up towel.

This is my latest Tunisian #crochet washcloth. It has some errors, but it's a functional item. It will do 🕶️

Which has very good drape, and a nice raised pattern. The back has a different, but also nice texture. However, it was sometimes hard to tell what stitch was next.

Abbiamo fatto un corso per sfruttare meglio il nostro tempo e ci hanno consigliato di elencare tutto quello che dobbiamo fare. Adesso che posso vederlo scritto, sono più angosciata; è una lista lunga. 🤣

Ho incluso nell'elenco bloccare gli scialli e cucire gli amigurumi, perché sono troppe cose che non finisco mai.

Cet hiver, l'envie m'a pété de faire un pull en crochet après avoir vu le modèle de @le_pull_le_pull qui est juste une incroyable designer !
Du coup BIM! je me lance et après avoir galéré à prendre en main cet outil de malheur, les panneaux prennent forme petit à petit.
Bon je vous cache pas que sans ma mère le résultat serait quand même bien moins joli, donc merci à elle de réparer mes bêtises avec patience 😘

En vrai c'est allé tout seul, il y avait certe beaucoup de couleurs à changer mais je suis très contente du résultat ❤️‍🔥
