While this is absolutely correct, the author fails to reach the conclusion that Trump's authoritarian bullshit wouldn't do this with either the left or the right if there wasn't already a built in mistrust of Jews independent of him and his dumb shit within their social, political, and ideological milieus.

The effect is to isolate Jews politically and socially − at the exact moment we are being told we are being “protected.”
