Text from article(edited for length): Musk is not technically a corporation, of course, and the legal mechanisms that he used to influence the 2024 election would come from follow-up rulings after Citizens United. But its civic reasoning still holds true for the present crisis. 'We' had the £'s pre #StopBrexit & after to fund an office & the talent to staff it. Now? No one single voice speaking #Truth to #Power @NRM @PeterCorr

I am starting to feel invigorated again.

A couple of years ago, at my Dad's funeral of all places, I spoke with a person who I have known since before PET was PM. She was very, very involved with the #Liberal party and was convinced the end was nigh. A #CPC sweep was coming. Who could have predicted a DJT victory would save us from

I am convinced that PMJT took a lot of body blows for party and country. I don't think his resignation right after the US election was unplanned. #PPs Best Before date was Nov 4 2024. A Harris win would have been interesting. We have seen what a DJT win has done.

It's not a sure thing. Still lots can happen.

I’m thinking a lot about the #labour election last year in the #uk right now as we watch the #liberal party basically morph into what the #conservative party used to be, except the leader talks about #climatechange being real. Regardless of the threats from #alberta you could cover the fucking country in pipelines and oil/gas will not come down in price, just like the last 5 yrs of inflation was caused by oil and gas price hikes detached from supply #canada #cdnpoli

It is so weird to watch how #Trump has more similar views to #Russian president than to #European leaders. #America has left the liberal server and joined the #authoritarian lobby, using a videogame metaphor. All of this happened in less than 100 days of #DonaldTrump ’s ruling. What will the next years bring, then?

When Menzies created the Liberal Party from the wreckage of failed Conservative Parties, he fought hard against those who wanted to follow a hard Conservative line. He knew that the times demanded something softer. It's why he chose that name.

As memories of World War 2 faded, the Right inevitably did what the Right does. It will eventually fail, as Menzies knew it must.
