@nova "Bending the Binary" by Deborah Lipp is amazing, and I would recommend it to every queer occultist/witch/practioner no matter what level of depth you are seeking!
She expertly deconstructs gender in occultism with input from the queer community. As a trans woman seeking traditional Wicca I needed to reconcile the cisnormative and heteronormative aspects of Wicca, and this book settled all my quams.
My conclusion BTW(pun intended), was "occultism was mostly written about by cishet (mostly) neurotypical folks from their limited paradigm of sex and gender, bless their hearts, but polarity magick is by no means limited by that"
