@santiago I agree for the most part, and that's why the "#Rubbon" is a hideos #Enshittifucation to #LibreOffice because it's space-inefficient and unnecessarily increases mouse movements and necessary keystrokes!

#WhatsMissing is a #OfficeSuite that is #KISS-principled, sleek and elegant as well as accessible.

#OOXML should be outlawed, alongside #MicrosoftOffice which can't comply with #GDPR anyway...

X (formerly Twitter)Frank Rieger (@frank_rieger) on XThe number of network connections required to @Microsoft and @Skype servers, to get Word just to start, is now 31. You can no longer say "I don´t want to send diagnostic data", then Word just quits silently. (Please spare me the Open/LibreOffice gospel, it does not apply here.)

@Lichtenbergian @MissConstrue same with [most] #Linux #desktop distros...

Worst-case the composer in question will have to basically get their scores exported as PDF and then someone has to painstakingly enter them elsewhere if not wait for an #OCR-Tool that can handle #SheetMusic and output stuff in #SMuFL as a #Unicode & #W3C Standard to display sheet music.

  • Ideally we'd see like a #ePub-Style container format to allow for #OpenDocument-style transferability between all major modern tools but I kinda doubt this will happen...
