“Confusingly…” seems to fit a fair bit of Apple these days.

Does anyone know how (in #CSS) to tell Apple’s Books app not to break pages in the middle of a specific element (with #ePub books)? I’ve tried page-break-inside: avoid; and break-inside: avoid; but neither work. The most egregious is that it page breaks in the middle of an SVG figure, with half on one page and half on the next.
Over the weekend, I received some vaguely threatening emails from someone who wanted to stop me from publishing my research into Readium's LCP DRM.

I can now extract a full #ePub which was "protected" by Readium's #LCP Profile 2.0.
I haven't found a way to reverse engineer the encryption. Nor have I cracked any cryptographic keys. I haven't misused anyone's computer, nor connected to anyone else's computer and run code there.
I simply politely asked the app to give me the unencrypted files and it did so.
It is a slow, tedious, and manual process. But, crucially, it works.

What are the best Android epub readers? Willing to pay for a good privacy friendly app, but payment method would need to be outside of Google Play store.

Why are most (if not all) EPUBs I came across pure garbage in specs compliance??
Pass them through a validator or something before selling them for actual money(!!)

- Bei #eInk gibt's nur wenige ACeP panels die 7 Farben können.
Wasserdichtigkeit geht notfalls per Hülle (gibt reputable Hersteller die sogar Druckwasserdichtigkeit für's Tauchen garantieren, brsucht halt buttons)...
- Mensch muss in jedem Falle bei jedem Hersteller und Gerät einzeln nachfragen, ob diese entsprecjende Features haben.
Sowas wie "#ePub-Dateien ohne #DRM von #microSD lesen und anzeigen" sollte jeder halbwegs taugliche #eReader können. Ansonsten ist es allenfalls nen "#ThinClient für geschlossene Systeme" (vgl. #Amazon #Kindle)!
