Listening to the latest episode of #latenightlinux i find i completely agree with @felimwhiteley when he says that no one you can pay to take care of your data cares about it, if they lose it, too damned bad.

And also, when it comes to making the decision of whether you want to host it yourself: that they are a cloud provider doesn't mean their service is magically more secure than any other method.

If you listened to 2.5 admins, there's also @jimsalter taking about eggs and baskets

I tried Ebou [1], a Mastodon client by @terhechte afte hearing about it on #LateNightLinux. I like the browsing philosophy and threaded conversation. It's not ready for primetime on Linux yet, but it's #foss #crossplatform #rust and I'm looking forward to more.

I submitted a PR [2] for an additional Debian (Pop!_OS) dependency but otherwise building was straightforward using rustup nightly. This is posted via Ebou!

@degville Not to be dramatic but it would be hilarious if KDE ends up sherlocking Bismuth 😆 .

One other improvement would be having "anchor points" when dragging the split panels, sort of like having smart guides in Illustrator, where the panels could "snap" when they are quarter o half of the full screen width.

I don't see myself using the Floating titles.. but it's a nice to have them.

By way I really enjoy listening #latenightlinux.. keep up the good work!
