@ai6yr There are so many things that I’ll never know in this lifetime. However, it’s super satisfying to me that I’ve figured out how to make most of clothes that I wear now.

Today begins the Hebrew month of Av (אב)—a time of deep remembrance and resilience.
Though we mourn the destruction of the Temples on the 9th of Av, this month reminds us of our power to transform sorrow into strength.
“Av” means father—a hint that even in grief, we are held and guided.
Hebrew embraces life’s depth. Through learning it, we honor the past and build a hopeful future.

I’ve finished my first real book in #French: Maigret’s premier case « Pietr-le-Letton » by Georges #Simenon. Having only read short crime stories and abridged texts in French before, this one was much more complex regarding the language and also the plot. But I’ve really enjoyed it and can totally recommend #Maigret novels to other learners. Any ideas on suitable contemporary books for French learners?
