To start with, how are the two sentences linked?

"I have been told that a wooden cup, that used to be in a gilded metal box along with the shin bone of St Benedict, found in a field in Berkshire, is the Holy Grail of the Christian religion. For me, the US Constitution, and the laws of this nation will be strictly interpreted and followed. No exceptions".

Also, the snivelly little arse-nugget knows full well that Climate Change is a real, scientific fact, that people can see, smell, touch and taste but for now he's rich, and he will be dead in 30 years, so he doesn't give a toss when he kills potentially millions of people.

This takes us back to the whole idea that political decision-makers in his position who are deliberately spreading and trading in lies they know will kill people, should be charged with 2nd-degree murder for their deliberate actions.

Otto Rahn - The Secret Glory (2001)

The complex story of Otto Rahn (18 February 1904 – 13 March 1939), who grew up amidst the ruins of Germany following its defeat in World War One. His parents awoke an interest in nature, myth and legend in him. At the time in Europe, the narratives of Christianity were being challenged and changed. He took up the legend of the Holy Grail and the heretical Christian sects that lasted up until the Inquisition from the 12th to the 15th centuries. Rahn wrote books about the Grail and the Cathars, one of the last mass manifestations of Gnosticism in Europe.

Rahn's homosexuality had been known to Himmler but, in 1937, it became the subject of difficulties with other SS officers, who had long contrasted their conduct with the open homosexuality common in Ernst Röhm's Sturmabteilung. Following a "drunken homosexual scrape", Rahn was assigned guard duty at the Dachau concentration camp in order to "toughen him up".

Deeply concerned by what he had witnessed in Dachau, Rahn offered his resignation from the SS in February 1939. This was accepted by Himmler. On 13 March, Rahn's body was found by local children in a ravine near Söll (Kufstein, Tyrol), in Austria. Sixty years later, in an interview, one of those who found Rahn's body described finding "two empty bottles" next to it. Rahn's death was privately ruled a suicide but was presented by Himmler to the SS as having occurred following a "mountaineering accident".

About a month ago, late on a Saturday night , I was drunk & tired f about to turn in when we had a big thunderstorm.
We rarely get thunderstorms in this part of #Yorkshire so I fond myself jotting down my thoughts as the storm waxed & waned .

The result was the Storm trilogy of #poems (must get round to posting those again) .

Understand that I had previously only written 1 proper poem which probably cost me an ‘A’ in my English Language ‘O’ level

That strange mix of circumstances released something in me & I have written a few more since.

Btw , I don’t really consider them poems, more brain leaks, but peeps in the know who actually write #poetry assure me that they count

Tim McTuffty was created as the publishing channel for my brain leaks & moved here for the glorious freedom of 11k chrs

In starting #writing I have also discovered a latent interest in other forms of art & the capacity to bore people to death in a single toot means that Tim will also be my gateway to the more serious side of my nature.

There will (by request from a peep who will remain anonymous to protect the guilty) also be the odd reminiscence of my experiences in the computer world, mostly because I’m too lazy to thread them on my other a/c @MaJ1

I just want y'all to appreciate this gorgeous profile artwork again from Jerry Bennett. He spent hours looking at my big dumb face for reference and transformed this tired potato into a romantic #medieval maiden. I still cannot get over the little rose finch perched on my shoulder.

This song wasn't supposed to be my first release of 2023. In fact, it wasn't supposed to be released at all. I had written it for an on-line class and when I solicited feedback from an in-person songwriting group, 4/5 of them were very critical of it, b/c it didn't fit "the rules" of good songwriting. So I shelved it.
