A Man Was Murdered in Cold Blood and You're Laughing?
Just read a critique of the response to the death of that United Healthcare CEO in a major US publication.
It seems like it was written by a person who never had a want in its life, got everything it ever asked for, grew up in the era where people didn't even keep scores in sports matches or games. That's my take of its Wikipedia bio.
Also, uses bits and pieces of research and data without proper context, to validate its snobby view of us all.
For example, cites research that 73% of all healthcare workers are the receiver of nonfatal workplace injuries. Nurses, residents, aides, specialists and ends that bit with, "they are asked to absorb the rage and panic induced by the American health-care system"
The research cited actually said most of those injuries come from back injuries and other work task related injuries. Some were from patients at a time when they are at a diminished mindset, like under anesthesia or dementia. Very little physical violence or injuries from outrage, although there was a great bit of verbal upset by patients and families in their time of personal panic over their loved ones.
This author twisted the facts to indict the entire country over venting about our healthcare experiences with insurance.
I've seen very few people say they were rejoicing the murder itself, as this author seems to suggest. It's out there but not by the majority of people this Karen indicts.
I could have read the piece with bias because it is targeted at me. Just being honest. I've had a few #gallowshumor #gallowshumour posts about it, but not at the man himself losing his life.
What good is #UnitedHealthcare #Optum mail order pharmacy when they fill your order when you run out but it takes a week to 10 days to get your scripts? They won't let you fill your order enough time in advance to get it before you run out and they calculate the next refill date for when they get confirmation you got your order.
I get so mad that I could, well, just keep the level of anger to myself. This was supposed to be easier, esp with me living in a rural area and all the mom and pop pharmacies being priced out of the market and closing.
A lot of my meds can't be stopped and started cold turkey.

I think we have a true bipartisanship moment in the country. Many people across all political spectrums, all walks of life, all economic statuses, seem to agree that healthcare CEO's get what they deserve with all the dark and #gallowsHumor and stories about their horrible health insurance experiences.
Those reactions are now being analyzed by the same people that made a cottage industry of analyzing American elections in a manner to keep the analyzation of American politics a thriving business, and once again, with all their judgement on their holier than thou soapbox's.
