V13.9XXA Candidate The Company also owns Stelco here in my city, #HamOnt. Our city has ~30,000 people who work for Stelco and they are in the direct line of sight for these tariffs. The city will be devastated if it goes on too long.
The CEO for Cleveland-Cliff has toed the line and said it will be good for steel in North America.
Tough for #Canada and #Stelco. Over the last few years, the government and company have invested millions on moving to low carbon, non-coal heat generation , to reduce the climate impact.

Wondering why, after the illegal detainment of hundreds, the Canadian Government hasn't issued a travel advisory for the US.
It's not safe for 2SLGBTQ+ people. It's not safe for who have protested. It's not safe for people with tattoos, people who have passports declaring a gender other than M or F, or people who have privately criticised the president.
The government should immediately issue a travel advisory, warning Canadians to not travel to the US.

Guidelines about accommodating people with disabilities are being scrubbed from the Justice departments website in an effort to … reduce the cost of groceries.

An airborne virus won’t stay confined to certain floors. They need mandatory respirators across the hospital.
You know what else that would help prevent? Hospital acquired Covid. Given measles wipes out your immune memory and makes you more susceptible to diseases, now would be an excellent time to bring back masking in healthcare.

I highly advise people to not travel to the United States for the time being. A French scientist was denied entry to the US and expelled because his phone had messages decrying scientific policies put forth by the Trump Administration. More disturbingly these messages were being equated with terrorism because it was "hateful towards the Trump Administration". This person at least didn't have to deal with weeks wasn't disappeared and suffer through torture like other tourists have been at the hands of ICE for absolutely no reason whatsoever. When I was a kid my school was trying to arrange a trip to the USSR. They would talk about all the precautions to take to not get in trouble with authorities and then god knows what would happen. I hated the idea of setting foot in a country like that. Now we are living in it. Thanks MAGA supporters and Trump voters! Sadly, as of this date the majority of them say they like what he's doing on immigration, in other words they like this shit.
