Hey @hetzner,
The folks at Fedora have done the work to make a Hetzner-specific image of CoreOS (see https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/1324).
When do you think we’ll be able to see it in this menu with a little lightning icon next to it?
Ball’s in your court now :)
Happy to see Fedora has implemented CoreOS support for Hetzner. Guess the ball’s in Hetzner’s court now: would be great to see it as one of the natively-supported operating systems with rapid deploy (under 10 seconds deployment).
New Kitten release
• Added instructions to Kitten’s Settings app for how to set up a webhook at Codeberg¹ so that pushing to your main branch automatically updates your deployed server.
(Would you like me to add instructions for GitHub also? Hmm, let me think a moment… No.)
You can also find the relevant information in the Kitten reference:
https://kitten.small-web.org/reference/#webhook
Enjoy!
¹ Codeberg is an community-run ethical alternative GitHub. You can follow them on the fediverse at @Codeberg and visit them online at https://codeberg.org
Isn't deploying on a Friday, generally bad practice?
#PeteButtigieg Calls Out #ShadyVance (#JDVance) at the #DNC—One #Veteran to Another. Shots were fired
The #Ohio #senator and #Republican #VP #Nominee previously claimed that the “#childless #left” have “no #physical #commitment to the #future of this #country”
#Buttigieg #rebuked Vance’s #controversial #comments about #childless #Americans by invoking his #wartime #deployment to #Afghanistan—something he called “pretty damn #physical.”

Development is one thing, what about deployment?
Soon, you’ll be able to deploy your Kitten apps to small-web.org using Domain¹.
Here’s a recording of me deploying Kitten Kawaii to kitten-kawaii.small-web.org using Domain.
Here, domain is registering the domain (subdomain but it’s on the Public Suffix List) and installing Kitten Kawaii on a pre-warmed VPS server.

New Kitten feature: Webhook
If you’re a dev building a site or app for yourself that you want to update easily, you can now set up a webhook from your remote Git repository so your deployed Kitten site is automatically updated, for example, every time you push to the main branch.
This is how the Kitten web site is being updated now:
Just deployed, kitten update to get it :)
New Kitten¹ feature: Manual app updates
In the Kitten build I just deployed a few seconds ago, you can now manually update a deployed Kitten app to the latest git commit in the main branch of its git repository.
Video demo: https://vimeo.com/970581084
Enjoy!
Coming soon: it’s going to be trivial to deploy a different app on your Small Web server. Useful if you’re a dev and you’re playing around with different apps.
(Also, notice the speed at which deployment happens. I’m one step away from implementing this in Domain using pre-warmed Kitten instances – called toasty kittens – thereby bringing the time it takes to deploy your own Small Web place down to a handful of seconds.)
Talk at me about #azure #deployment #slots and private endpoints.
I can create both with Azure CLI. But question is: Do I need to add a DNS zone configuration AND a vnet?
Kind of appears so. Thats how other app services configured here....

Said goodbye to my boy yesterday. He's a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force, being deployed overseas. He left early this morning. We, his wife, his 4 kids and 2 cats will miss him dearly.
@Sandywb unending chorus of don't #regulate #AI - defer to the vendors - #BigTech - has quickly resulted in massive #copyright #violations that will not end. In addition, folks are ignoring the #privacy issues - there is no privacy - #enterprise dev and #deployment may be useful because the environment is controlled (butt #cybercrime). #AI is a disaster for #authors, artists, and #creative folks in many disciplines.
