He was accused of killing DEA agent Kiki Camarena in Mexico in 1985. Caro Quintero was freed from a Mexican prison on a technicality in 2013, & arrested again in 2022.

In 1 case, they found the tip was provided by an #airlines check-in clerk paid a % of any cash seized who'd already made tens of thousands of dollars on the arrangement w/DEA.
Passengers whose cash was seized & weren't guilty of anything had to go to court to get it back.
