Unions help close these gaps, but the fight isn't over. We need stronger laws, better enforcement, and more worker power. Equal pay is a worker's right. In the 'most democratic country' you can keep on voting... for nearly every public office.
[Unlike my country, the Netherlands 🇳🇱, where we can vote 3 times in every 4 years, provided the government doesn't crash]
Extreme Christian right has been doing this for decades, and you can see that it works.
Democrats and left wingers have been neglecting to do the same, and you can see that it doesn't work. Culture wars on books and sex been made to deflect from issues like #HealthCare #AbortionRights etc.
This year should be different: pick the best governer or mayor, not the sweetest talker. Study their voting behaviour. Study, point blank.
