"A federal bankruptcy judge in Houston on Monday rejected Johnson & Johnson’s request to approve a $9 billion settlement with tens of thousands of people who are suing the company over claims that its talcum powder products caused cancer.

The proposal would have resolved nearly all current and future claims that the company’s talc products contained asbestos and caused cancer."

I was on #RTÉ radio news this morning talking about #23andMe and the #DataProtection implications of their #bankruptcy. It was a short bit.

But I am a divil for doing my homework before interviews so I wrote this longer piece that sets out the issues, what rights people have and how they can exercise them (including a template email), and the practical problems that might crop up when they do.
