So when did Target let Procter & Gamble buy almost literally every single display position in the store? I wanted to get a particular recycled paper towel brand they used to carry, and it wasn't there. I did, however, find an entire aisle of just Bounty paper towels, an end cap of just Bounty, a mid-walkway display of Bounty, and some more Bounty in another corner that had a couple spots of other brands (mostly out of stock).

So called "People's Union" has been trying to claim the thunder, but Black folk and allies have been boycotting #Target for 15 weeks straight now.

(Some of us started a month earlier following the protest in Minneapolis.)

Now the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church-lead boycott has expanded to Dollar General.

Not Target this week, then return to shopping as usual, Dollar General two weeks from now, then return to shopping as usual. Not calling for a "permanent boycott" only months of such tomfoolery after a persistent boycott was already in effect.

A boycott is not an "economic blackout" nor empty assertions. It is organizing community to move different, to move in a way that ostracizes those subject to the boycott. Consistently and continuously.

"The African proverb says you eat an elephant one bite at a time."

The key part about that is you eat the elephant. Not take taster samples and move on. You. Eat. The. Elephant. Until there's nothing left to eat.
