A few months back, my best friend adopted a #staffy puppy after its mom and litter mates had been confiscated from a fighting breeder.
Today, he brought his boy over to introduce to my staff and my wife's #pibble. They seemed to like each other well enough.

It's kind of funny, the first #staffy was my wife's. Summer of 2023, we adopted another staffy after my #pitbull died. So, of the six #dogs we've had to date, 1/3 have been staffies with one belonging to each of us.
Also funny is how very different the two staffies are from each other. My wife's staffy was very staid and preferred minimal amounts of physical contact: she was definitely not comfortable being held. My staffy is a clown who craves physical attention: if he's not draped across my lap, glued to my side, etc. he's not happy and he seems to love being held, hugged, etc.

With the arrival of snow (fairly cursory) and associated cold, my #staffy is a lot more willing to lay with my #pibble on the dog bed to the right of my work chair (he's got his own bed to the left of my chair but generally only uses it when he's got no access to the living room and doesn't want to get overheated laying with the other dog).

Reminds me of my #staffy.
My #staffy discovered that rubbing against my mom's ottoman feels really good when wearing one of his sweatshirts. And, because he has multiple tickle-spots, when he rubs just the right way, it will cause one or the other of his back legs to go airborne …often causing him to faceplant.

Growing up, we had cocker spaniels. Since marrying, we've had various kinds of bullies. Never would have thought of a 57lb #staffy as a #lapdog.

My #staffy loses his mind at meal time. Pacing. Spinning. Jumping. Lots of lip-smacking. The occasional yap. All at the gate separating the livingroom from the half of the house where the kitchen is.
My tan #staffy is 57lbs.
My black #pibble is 45lbs. and, at ten years old, arthritic. That said, she's still apparently "queen" of the household, enough, that the staffy won't just push her aside when he wants room on "her" pillow (the one in my work-area that's supposed to be for two dogs to share).

We only have two dogs. But our tan #staffy is able to create quite the commotion all by himself.
He ran up onto my couch, rocking it back, slightly, then leapt off, forgetting we have hardwood floors ...and slid about 5' into the kiddie gate that separates the front and rear halves of the house.
