I am a fairly seasoned tech user, and while this is an important tech, it took me far too long to understand bridgy. And I am still not comfortable. It needs to make a SIMPLE example at the top of the docs that explains what it does in the simplest possible terms. #My2cents.

I used to be quite interested in what Ray Kurweil was doing and writing, although I always favoured Doug Engelbart's "Intelligence Augmentation" (IA) viewpoint — that computers, internet etc are tools for humans to use, not replacements. There was always an IA vs AI battle, and I think LLMs actually show that IA is right. Plus I think Ray has lost the plot, because I don't believe you'll ever be able to upload your brain / consciousness to the cloud. #my2cents wired.com/story/big-interview-

IMHO: any 15” M-series #Mac laptop seems squarely targeted at mainstream F100/F500 corporate customers.

Similar challenge & response as years ago:

Whatever's coming = bad news for #Intel #Dell and others.

This is *exactly* point I tried making to you @gruber @siracusa @asymco this AM re: desperate need for safe digital spaces between #OpenWeb & #Privacy. #BigTech ingested every Zero+One (voluntary contributions or otherwise) for decades with little to zero consequences, now biting humanity in collective 🍑

#AI that #BigTech “injecting” now derived from #PersonalData they’ve scraped from ALL of us + historical record + Dave’s docs :(
