More than 25,000 people will hit the road Sunday for the 40th running of the #Los #Angeles #Marathon,
to the delight of race fans and the dismay of drivers making their way through the area.

The marathon starts at 7 a.m. at Dodger Stadium and finishes in Century City.

Runners will head northwest toward Los Feliz before heading west to West Hollywood and southwest through Beverly Hills toward Brentwood,
where they will turn around and make their final push to the finish line at Santa Monica Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars

It was clear sky with sun felt almost like summer: it was 61F and I could certainly feel the heat! I brought 1L electrolyte, 2 gels and one energy bar, and I consumed them all.

I finished the run in time, showered in Fruit Park gym, and headed straight to airport. Zzz on the plane home!

My cadence has become much more regimented. Initially in today's run I was searching for a faster-than-180spm cadence, hoping to run fast and efficient. Eventually I fell back to 180spm and lengthed my stride, and my pace actually became slightly faster.

There are some small degradations on vertical oscillation, probably the result of me focusing on being more "bouncy". I have to internalize it's bouncing forward, not upward.

More work to get under 1:40:00 for half #marathon!

Another beautiful sunny day, so I had my 19th (easy-ish) #marathon along East Lake Sammamish Trail! Moving time 4:12:27 pace 9'31"/mi, with my (reward) lunch break at McDonald's again! Avg HR 140bpm w/ 59.4% Z2 or under, definitely higher than yesterday's half marathon. But this week I have run 79.96 miles!

Notes:

1. There's something interesting between cadence and HR: too low the cadence, my HR is actually higher! I've found my most efficient cadence is ~180spm.
