And as we can see from Starmer's pledge not to change a single damn thing, just double down and push harder, the end of the Duopoly seems not so remote now.
This stubborn refusal to listen to anyone but the Right Wing Press, a gooey eyed fascination with the Fascist abomination in the White House and complete indifference to human suffering....it's not a vote winner guys!

Kemi Badenoch says Lib Dems are people who fix church roofs. Yes: that’s why we’re popular and she isn‘t theguardian.com/commentisfree/ #LocalElections #LocalElections2025 #UK - #LibDem pitch. Would be nice to see #Green pick up seats. (also #Labour and #Tories get the hammering they deserve). Probably doesn’t need said in the Fediverse - don’t vote #Reform ! If you don’t believe they are hateful racists and bigots, at least remember they are the #Brexit party and look where that got us!

#SNP - 'shocking losses' amidst ongoing police investigation
#DUP Paisley Jr lost his seat his family held since 1970
Farage elected MP at 8th attempt, and Reform (formerly known as brexit party won four seats as of now - same number as the Green party stands currently
Corbyn re-elected as independent, Galloway gone

A week to go until the UK General Election.

Are you brave enough to find out which party’s vision actually aligns best with your own ideals?

Take a blind test to find out: The Vote For Policies tool will tell you which parties agree with you on the issues that matter most: voteforpolicies.org.uk/

Go on then, let’s run a poll and see which results are most common.

So tonight I went to the #Norwich South hustings at #UEA.

Sadly Clive Lewis, current #Labour MP was a no show…they sent the local Labour councillor instead, who struggled to get from one end of a sentence to the other.

#Green Party candidate Jamie Osborn was very strong and well received…particularly on rent reforms, #Trans and #Non-binary rights and #Retrofit.

The #LibDem Sean Bennett was really solid and did well on #NHS and #EU…but crowd not receptive.

So what about Tory and Reform…

There are some guts in politics after all, some that rather do the right thing for the country and the people, no matter how hard it might be.

I never expected the Lib Dems to reverse Brexit. Add proportional representation, scrapping Rwanda scheme, and a steady move to Net Zero. Now I have an actual choice of who to vote for.

Edit: Removed the link as, although it popped up in my news feed today, it's an old story. The pledges above are current. See thread.
