Today I had cause to get out my old #Acorn #RISCOS 3 Style Guide to demonstrate that the fundamentals of good #UX can date back well over 30 years - same with the #Apple #HIG.

I need to find a modern equivalent that clearly shows the basics for an "intro to usability" post. Most #designSystems seem overly focused on their components, rather than the principles of a good WIMP system.

Any of my design systems friends know of a good chart/data viz Figma plugin that can be tied to a variable library (without the variables having to live in the same file)?

We see a ton of "issues" that show up as "design system bugs" that aren't really issues or bugs at all. All users know is that the system isn't working for them. It's the DS team's job to help them.

Here's the Halloween-meets-design-systems post you didn't know you needed. The ever-astute Ian Frost said "didn't the green apple Blow Pop have a different design than the other flavors before?" Why, yes it did! Until the creation of the Charms Blow Pop Wrapper Design System.

I realise this poll was somewhat controversial, I should've turned on the option to select both (cool that Mastodon does that!). Also not a surprise that most people selected ‘Developer' down to where I posted the poll and my audience.

However I also think that people working on #DesignSystems often begin the design work and end up doing the implementation work as well. Though I could be wrong (cc @beep interested in your Opinions™)
