I made a submission this week to the Treasury of the Australian Government on the right to repair in the age of Tesla papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf #auslaw #auspol #righttorepair #consumerlaw #competition #IP #product #stewardship #SDGs #cars #Tesla

The Australian Treasurer Hon. Jim Chalmers has been promising to expand the right to repair - it will be interesting to see what emerges in this policy space.

The organizers of the Tokyo International Choir Competition removed Taiwan's flag and changed the name under which Taiwanese teams competed after a Ch1nese complaint, and then removed the flags of all competing nations to address protests over its moves. The Nibun Chorus, a choir from Kaohsiung, won a gold medal.

"The U.S. answered #Sputnik with bold #competition not an aggrieved whine that America had been ripped off and abused.
America’s response to rising scientific competition from China—symbolized by #DeepSeek’s R1 matching OpenAI’s o1—has been very different. The DeepSeek Moment has been met not with resolve and competition but with anxiety and #retreat."

I’ve always wanted to own a Foosball table. When I was in college, every good bar had one. And in the Army every band I served in had one (cheaper than a pool table, I’m guessing?). Very competitive games in those Army days!

Anywho, I’d like one. But then I’d have to have an opponent. Can you train dogs to play Foosball? And how big would the dog need to be? Thinking a Great Dane would be overkill, but a Belgian/German Shepherd might be just right?
