TIL: Denmark switched to the metric system in 1907, but apparently some Danish carpenters still prefer to measure in inches, and Hultafors still sells folding rules with both systems.

Note however that the Danish inch ("tomme") is 26.1 mm.

Last night's project: bee nuc (used for capturing bees and for small hives) made out of salvaged plywood and scrap wood. Not fine furniture, but the bees do not care about glue drips and unfinished edges (and a couple of wayward nails... nailing into the side of plywood requires smaller nails than in my junk pile). #beekeeping #carpentry

I've enjoyed this one. The customer called me and said he’d bought the balustrading and a post and needed it all fit and some cladding done.

When I turned up, I slightly shifted his vision so it would look better. He loves it. Now he has to paint it.
