For the novel #ParallelLines, I have a ton of behind-the-scenes material: notes on why certain things were written certain ways, a "cutting room floor" of chapters that didn't make it, characters and scenes I deleted, and insights into the hidden references and Easter Eggs throughout the text. What's the best way to share these?

This is #OffTopic for me, but I need some #advice.

I'll be traveling to the US and Canada in summer 2024 for 2 months, but I will not be on "vacation" from work. I need a solid wifi connection wherever I go.

We'll be visiting some fairly remote areas where cell coverage is spotty at best (the Kootenays, rural Ontario, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan). How in the world can I guarantee a wifi connection in my travels?

Has anyone experience with Jenn Ashworth's 100 Days of Writing? The holistic idea is that you show up each day to write <something> and then document privately/publicly your experience. It's a look into the reality of writing life: from forgotten cups of tea and uncleaned houses, to bursts of inspiration and fruitful, progressive drafts. What writing habits work for you?

The Extraordinary Life of Octavius Crank - Part 2

#FairyTaleTuesday #Folklore #Folktale #writerdons #WriterCommunity

Years turned into decades, and Octavius lived a remarkable life alongside his cherished animal companions. People from far and wide marveled at the sight of the man with meadow flowers for hair and reeds for a beard, surrounded by voles and finches. They regarded him with awe, believing him to possess a touch of magic bestowed upon him by the very essence of the land he had come to embody.

But as the saying goes, even the most extraordinary lives must eventually come to an end. On the day Octavius passed from this realm, a somber hush fell upon the woodlands. The trees whispered sorrowfully, their leaves quivering in mournful harmony. The creatures of the forest ceased their bustling activities, paying homage to their beloved friend.

As if guided by an unseen force, two graceful swans emerged from the shimmering waters of the stream. With gentle determination, they cradled Octavius's lifeless body upon their backs, carrying him with utmost reverence to his final resting place. Deep within the heart of the woodlands, the diligent moles began their sacred task, digging a solemn grave to cradle their departed friend.
