I have a few schematics I use on interviews to see if people can troubleshoot. Twenty years ago, people could. Nobody can now. Nobody teaches electronics for technicians. Engineers, yes. Technicians, no.

So I'm rewriting the test and changing it into training. I'm doing all the work in my private wiki and have found "reveal-js" is perfect for interactive training!

Just in case you ever need something like that 🤔.

New blogpost: "Running presentations from a standalone Linux installation on a bootable USB memory stick"

tl;dr: A Linux installation on a USB stick, onto which I can copy my presentation slides, so that I can boot my laptop from that USB stick when I come to give a presentation, thereby leaving my actual drive (and thus my documents, email etc) encrypted.

Why on earth didn’t I think of this sooner?!

Why haven’t I seen other people who present a lot talking about something like this. Am I missing something?
