Pixelix is coming to iOS soon and hopefully to desktop (Windows, Linux and macOS) after the iOS release.
New Update for Pixelix
We’ve just released a fresh update!
- Redesigned Settings page for a better experience.
- AMOLED theme for an energy-efficient display.
- New design for the New Post screen.
- Bug fixes and performance improvements.
Also, we’ve migrated to Jetpack Multiplatform, enabling native Android & iOS apps with a single codebase. Pixelix for iOS is coming soon!

Now for making Pixelix available on iOS we have to invest almost all of our profits we ever made from the app into hardware equipment, meaning we got not much back for our hard work. That is not really sustainable. We are currently still experimenting on how to make open source software development sustainable but as we figured that is a widespread problem which is not so easy to solve. (4/4) ->

Now you can say we are already earning some money because we sell Pixelix for 2€ on Google Play Store. And that's true, but the app is also available completely free on F-Droid and Github, which means the vast majority is getting it from there. (3/4) ->

Hello everyone!
We are working on something pretty exciting. We want to bring Pixelix to Apple devices! Exactly the same app with same functionality, same design and running natively on iOS (Made possible by Kotlin Multiplatform for those who know).
But for that we need to buy at least one MacBook.

Myślę, że to dziwne, że twórcy #Pixelfed, powstającego w kontrze do korporacyjnych social mediów, zupełnie ignorują użytkowników, którzy chcieliby zainstalować ich aplikację bez korzystania ze sklepu Google.
Apki Pixelfeda ciągle nie ma w głównym repozytorium F-Droid, a ich własne repo ostatni raz było zaktualizowane 2 października.
Na szczęście są #PixelDroid i #Pixelix.

Pixelix update 3.4 is out now!
This is a pretty exciting release with many new features:
We migrated to a new icon set, giving Pixelix a whole new style.
The "create new post" button is now in the navigation bar, making it just one tap away no matter where you are right now.
Introducing "Focus Mode" – hide descriptions, like counts, and buttons to unclutter your timeline.
The next update for #Pixelix has some pretty cool new features. It should be ready to ship later today or tomorrow.
