There was a post about an alternative YouTube app which you load up via #fDroid, but I think I lost that bookmark in the server move. It was called like i-flip or something and had a predominantly white background with red features. Does anyone have a link to the post about it?

I tried to install it at the time but had a certs issue on my phone which led me down a whole separate rabbithole, but which ultimately resulted in mastodon working on my main phone again, as well as getting f-droid working (\o/) hence trying to follow up on it now..

Having just read that the dogebags have taken vital funding from #tor and #fdroid (among others) I'd like to advertise my favourite bot to those whose timeline is as much of a display of the general fucked-upness of current affairs as mine. It's @scream It won't change anything, it just periodically toots a scream so I don't have to. It helps me cope.

Y'all, how are we feeling about #Fdroid these days? I've not been following anything related but am coming back to Android.

#Catima 2.34.5 is out!

This is a maintenance release that targets Android 15 and fixes a crash.

The app will look slightly uglier on some devices, due to Google's changes in how drawing over the system and navigation bar works. Sadly, supporting proper edge-to-edge requires extensive rewrites (help very welcome!), so I opted to at least ensure we target Android 15 before any deadlines.

Anybody have recommendations for interesting #musician-oriented apps on #android? Was away from my various tinkering tools tonight and so far played with Semitone (#fdroid), Koala Sampler (paid) and I've got #lsdj running in lemuroid.

Just playing around and making fun noises, prefer #opensource or free tools, but if it's something interesting I'm not above paid apps (as long as there's no subscription).

I have a stylus for my phone too, so can press many tiny buttons on the screen.

I got rid of my Google account today. The only thing that kept me on Google was my Android phone. With F-Droid and Aurora store, I get all my apps updated and access to FOSS apps. Google cannot be trusted (neither can Apple) and now they aren't on my computers or phones. I switched to Linux over a year ago, because Microsoft is also run by untrustworthy oligarchs #DeGoogle #FOSS #Fdroid #Linux
