Manali. December. It was cold!! I stood on my balcony under the cloudy sky, just as the rain threatened to come down, and made some images.
Bhimtal. The bridge you see is a carryover from the British Raj. While they destroyed much, and I don't like the plunder, we cannot deny that they left us some excellent infrastructure.
Locals use this bridge all the time: it is their lifeline.
The set-up and the photo.
Making a pinhole photograph of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains with the Le Rouge pinhole camera.

The houses on one side and the hills on the other. The roads become icy and slippery in winter.
From the pinhole. Few pictures from Reykjavík shot on the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. This year it was last Sunday the 27th April.

My first pictures I take with my Zero Image 69 pinhole camera and a 120 medium format film.
Experimenting with the pinhole camera is great fun and very different challenge from the lens cameras.
I just got an email from Ondu Cameras saying they will sell all their remaining pinhole stock and will no longer sell pinhole cameras. If you want to get one, this is your last chance. #BelieveInFilm #Pinhole #FilmPhotography
Heads of state, who ride and wrangle
Who look at your face, from more than one angle
First "successful" pinhole film shot! I made every possible beginner mistake--even loading the film backwards. Took 6 rounds of test shots before I got an image that, while not great, is at least recognizable. Now for some fun experimentation and trying to dial it in more...

Back to the pinhole camera from the Double Helix tree's rather large leaves.
It allows you to make extended semi-direct observations of the sun without any danger.. There's also no technology or AI intermediary.
If you had an actual phone or camera, you could take a HD picture of this aperatured solar phenomenon & enhance (ENHANCE! ENHANCE, damnit!)
The odd thing (at first) about pinhole cameras, camera obscuras or aperatures of any type is that they flip the image. This can be in addition to mirrors in compound microscopes
that...mirror the image.

To my photography friends.
Please don't use masses of hashtags on your post.
It really messes up the visual experience of scrolling the feed.

Not this:
Brought the Holga pinhole camera down to Black Star Co-op Brewery, and set up a long (1hr) exposure on the bar top.
While there I discovered that they're letting their rye lager go for $2 so they can make room for the next brew.
Cheap and tasty pints, pumping AC, and chill vibes is making for a nice way to spend a very hot afternoon in Austin, TX.
