Norm Hamilton - 8th Decade<p>CPP, OAS, GIS April 2025 Update</p><p>You’ve probably seen the numerous clickbait links and videos on the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement increases that really don’t do anything but force you to scroll through ad after ad after ad with information being secondary if it even exists. In this video I’m going to tell you the truth about CPP, OAS and GIS increases for 2025. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/OAS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OAS</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/CPP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CPP</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GIS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GIS</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/seniorsbenefits" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>seniorsbenefits</span></a><br><a href="https://youtu.be/6f-t6efvFaU" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/6f-t6efvFaU</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

Mountain Mindset<p>In my quest to learn more sustainable regenerative ways to support free open source software and the fediverse together I found an example worth sharing. For the past 15 years, Bigstock Fundraiser has been on a mission of raising funds through philanthropic events, for local charitable and benevolent causes. A team of volunteers has created a festively fun experience to enjoy two days of music in the mountains as a fundraiser! </p><p>Hosted at Hoodoo Ski Area in Central Oregon. The fundraising benefits two local non profits; Oregon Adaptive Sports &amp; Cascadia Wildlands. This success can be replicated around the world. Truly a fun way to help other people supporting great causes! It also creates a thriving ecosystem of jobs for the vendors &amp; support staff. Small groups of people can do big things together. Band shown is Greensky Bluegrass. </p><p><a href="https://bigstockfundraiser.org" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">bigstockfundraiser.org</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://mountains.social/tags/fundraising" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fundraising</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fediverse</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/bigstock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bigstock</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/fundraiser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fundraiser</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/sustainable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sustainable</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/regenerative" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>regenerative</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/growth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>growth</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/foss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>foss</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Oregon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Oregon</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Hoodoo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hoodoo</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/OAS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OAS</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/cascadia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cascadia</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/wild" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wild</span></a></p>

The yet-uncounted polling stations had been far, far more supportive of the 2016 referendum to lift term limits in <a href="https://econtwitter.net/tags/Bolivia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bolivia</span></a>.</p><p>By extension, this concerned Morales's eligibility to run again, and is generally viewed as a proxy for support for his presidency. There are problems with this, but for now we recognize that there the late votes in 2019 would be hugely favorable</p>
David Rosnick<p>In Part 4 (<a href="https://cepr.net/some-observers-including-the-oas-ignored-critical-biases-in-bolivias-preliminary-count/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">cepr.net/some-observers-includ</span><span class="invisible">ing-the-oas-ignored-critical-biases-in-bolivias-preliminary-count/</span></a>): the pattern of partial, preliminary, results of the 2019 presidential election in <a href="https://econtwitter.net/tags/Bolivia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bolivia</span></a> indicated that incumbent Evo Morales was going to extend his lead and secure the 10-percentage-point margin necessary for a first-round victory.</p><p>Nevertheless, the <a href="https://econtwitter.net/tags/OAS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OAS</span></a> would call this outcome “inexplicable” and announce preparations for a second round. The OAS failure to account for counting bias legitimized opposition Stop-the-Steal type protests</p>
