I have a local business here in #Tacoma that is interested in trying out #Linux on her #Windows 10 computer thats EOL.

Anyone have thoughts or suggestions for her as a Windows convert?

I really havent used Windows in years, #Debian for me for desktop and servers.

I’m sorry Duolingo, I have a different language to learn this Summer.

I had planned on teaching Python - alas my client refused.

Guess it was inevitable. As a pirate and tutor of calculus - neither forgets the C!

Even in playing the trumpet, one must play C#.

Fingers crossed as we dive into a new language!

Learning something new can feel like a leap of faith, but every step brings us closer to fluency. With a bit of practice and a sprinkle of patience, we’ll get there together.

This morning I’m also crossing my fingers on some developing news!

I finally did it! It took just over 6 months, but I completed the Google Cybersecurity Certification. And just in time for Cybersecurity Awareness Month. It was a lot of work, and some of it was tough (I’m looking at you, Python). The material was wide from cybersecurity concepts and frameworks to SQL and Python. It’s a good starting point for those who are interested in field and want to get some good hands-on practice. It was also used as a study tool to prepare for the CompTIA Security+, which will be next on the to-do list.
