Ed Summers<p>But in other cases a description has an existing URI already, e.g. id.loc.gov/... and we want to allow it to be POSTed. We can switch the supplied subject URI with newly minted URI, and preserve the relation with `bf:derivedFrom`. But maybe this is hocus-pocus and the API should just not allow descriptions like this to be POSTed?</p><p>Is there anything else like this going on in <a href="https://social.coop/tags/linkeddata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linkeddata</span></a> land?</p>

Adrian<p>Some time ago, the <a href="https://openbiblio.social/tags/BBC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BBC</span></a> was an early adopter of <a href="https://openbiblio.social/tags/LinkedData" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LinkedData</span></a> technologies and a shining example of using them in user-facing production systems. There still is the ontologies webpage at <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/ontologies/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">bbc.co.uk/ontologies/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> but I could not find any indicators that the"BBC Linked Data Platform" still plays any role in the provision of their web sites. The last presentations and talks I can find about this are from 2013/14. Does anybody here know about the fate of these efforts?</p>
