I always say it, I always mean it, but Today double that: This show is very special to me. 2 major reasons:

- B Interviews.
Let me explain:
Politics:
I'm aware, this radio show is about music. Should stick to that. But in these alarming times I wont. The world is shifting towards the right extreme. So much, that fascist and Nazi ideas are being "normal", even being defended by the mainstream media. Especially (but not only) in Germany. 1933 (the begin of Nazi Germany that let to WWII) is so near I can almost touch it. On top of all go the climate deniers, destroying the planet for their stupid privileges; against all scientific proof.
Even as a lil' radio host I will use my position to make the people aware about what's going on. I still believe we can do something, but we should do that together:
If you are a creator on Radio, TV, a YouTube cooking channel or whatnot: Don't be silent. Make people aware!

When I was in 9th grade (45 yrs ago 
) I took a class called German Phrase and Culture. The teacher was a somewhat short, portly chap with black curly hair and a black mustache and he loved to tell stories. I really liked that class. I remember we watched the educational film series (via a 16mm film projector) called Guten Tag. Warm memories of that class.

Even when technology eventually masters translation, we need to keep teaching #languages.
In my H.S. #German classes, I learned about #culture in more ways than by being taught directly. #Language reflects the way people think. It's far more than merely the direct translation of individual words--the idioms, colloquialisms, and words that have migrated between languages and nations in the past, all teach far more about the culture than a person can learn from books/videos about it, written/spoke in their own 1st language.
I also learned how to have FUN w/ languages-- not only with one language, but with multiple ones at the same time. One of my favorite examples of having fun with both #GermanLanguage and #English is an expression my teacher used, when pointing to the stage of learning when students begin partially thinking in the other language, but aren't quite there yet:
"Das moment when you start denken auf zwei Sprachen at the same Zeit."
