Police in #Germany detained 3 men suspected of planning to mail packages laden w/ #explosives in a Russian-sponsored act of sabotage reminiscent of recent attacks on DHL logistics hubs, prosecutors said Wednesday.

After Israeli soldiers found Mohammed Shubeir hiding w/his family in early March, they detained him for roughly 10 days before releasing him w/o charge, he said.

During that time, Shubeir said, the soldiers used him as a #HumanShield.

Shubeir, then 17, said he was forced to walk handcuffed through the empty ruins of his hometown, Khan Younis, in southern #Gaza, searching for #explosives set by #Hamas. To avoid being blown up themselves, the soldiers made him go ahead.

The #Connecticut state #Capitol bldg was closed & #evacuated in response to an emailed #BombThreat.

"The email, which appeared to have been sent to numerous states, claimed to have planted multiple #explosives at the Capitol. Upon receiving this info, SCPD closed & evacuated the Capitol. State Capitol Police…, along w/ explosive K9 ‘Bocci’, searched the Capitol bldg & grounds.
