Members of the family from Ireland were visiting and amongst other things this came up. My uncle (as a slightly younger man) discussing liff the universe and everything with a bull on the farm (although looking at it I wonder whether it is the mart?) . Carlow we think, 1950s? He is still farming (my uncle that is)/

A Highland cow, soaking up the morning light on the West Coast.
With the backdrop of the beautiful snow covered Southern Alps and morning frost, its moments like these I never tire of.
I have about an acre that I could fence on my property and am thinking about livestock. Need recommendations. Advice on mini-cattle, llamas, alpacas, goats, etc?
We live in the Cascade foothills on the wet side. Lots of trees. I'd love to get a donkey but they can't handle the lush grass we have here and would require a lot of hay.
