Ieri vi scrivevo degli artbook recuperati dal mio amico. Il primo che vi mostro è All About SNK 1991-2000, un volume clamoroso che contiene le opening, i finali e i dettagli di innumerevoli giochi SNK. Negli anni 90 un artbook simile sarebbe stato un acquisto agrodolce, perché le innumerevoli informazioni al suo interno erano sigillate dietro a una barriera linguistica impenetrabile. Oggi, con i servizi di traduzione dalle immagini, è una miniera d'oro. 💜 #retrogaming #SNK #artbooks

And again I look at my collection of vintage #bobbins for #inspiration. I have an idea of a "book scroll" made of very thin fabric. Then I could sew on little "stuff", textile collages with intuitive embroidery. Small, handy portions for the Sunday animation in our cultural heritage centre for a larger art work.

In this heat today, the idea is now slowly simmering in my brain until it is cooked. 🤣

A tangle of different old wooden bobbins, some with threads. They were made by hand and are slowly going extinct because the machines no longer work.

2 kinds of small and fine bobbins: 1. Different types for making bobbin lace, hand-turned, and 2. the more robust bobbins from Aubusson tapestry where they were used in hand looms. One has still an original yellow-white thread.
