What am I doing wrong? Whenever I try to do thinner layers, I end up with poking and tide marks, and even though I try to build up the jagger, it still doesn't look smooth. At this point I'm about ready to give up on layering

Listen, I said. It's the bottom of the fucking branches, I said. Nobody's gonna see it, I said. Just slap some fucking paints and be done with it.
It still took all night, and I've only managed the leaves, not the actual branches.
Anyway, it's still #hobbyprogress so I'm ok with it. I think I'm learning how to use the speed paints better too.
