Timelapse video of an overnight full plate 3D print. I don't often do full build plate prints like this so it was fun to see and I'm glad it was successful after a 21-hour print time! This timelapse makes it look like the print head doesn't move much and the prints just magically appear from thin air... The print is components for a filament spool winder. #3dprint #timelapse #video #BambuLab #X1C

#3DPrint Friends, I have a question. Take a look, and above all, listen to the attached video. My #BambuLab #X1C has been making very strange noises for a few days now when printing small radii and when the print is a bit faster. My guess is something on the X-axis (bearing?). In the video it prints at normal speed.

Do any of you know this? Any ideas?

@roy every 6 months for the past several years I've thought "I'd like to get into 3D printing, what printer should I get" and after doing the research I always convinced myself that I didn't want a "3D printer maintenance" hobby.

This time I jumped on the #BambuLab train, and I have no regrets. My friend who has been printing for years came to see it in action, and he's now planning to replace two of his printers with a Bambu (he's keeping his Creality)

It spits out amazing prints, and the AMS is really handy. If I were to do it again, I'd probably get a #P1S, but I don't regret my #X1C

@3dprinting @freeformz You steered me right. The X1C was a little tricky to get started with but it's a dream!

The provided benchy gcode appeared to be borked. Bad prints 3x in a row with same error.

However, 2 self-sliced prints came out beautifully! Much higher quality prints than on my MK3S even when it was running optimally. And FASTer! Oh, my!

The AMS is absurdly easy to use, even for third party filament.

One complaint: damn this thing is LOUD! There's some sort of "silent" mode, I heard? Can't find that yet, if it exists.

I'm finally back to my happy place!!!!!

Now to print more mods, beginning with completing the poop (waste) chute! 😂 printables.com/model/357927-po
