What #wordcount do the #WritersOfMastodon shoot for every day? I try for 1k, but I can do up to 1.5k on a good day. I've noticed that even on bad days I can do 500 regularly as long as I keep a consistent schedule.
@chrisamoody I rely on the mechanical word count from my writing app of choice (#Ulysses), which would include, in the case of my latest project, the text of the chapters, plus chapter numbers and titles.
The official count is 69,574 words. When speaking about the length with publishers and agents, I round that amount and say, "about 69,000 words."
