Égalité parfaite 53~53 entre les deux géant… mais départagé par la production titanesque de Manutech

I'm in a hotel for one night for work and packed a few solo games. I haven't played TM:AE in a while so I decided to play it first. Wow, I forgot how brutal it can be. I was nowhere near completely terraforming Mars before the rounds ended.
It was still fun even though I did horrible.

Linds and I played #TerraformingMars AE in the hotel last night. We've played this plenty but it just felt very long and I never had enough money to do anything. Then, after Lindsey basically terraformed all of Mars alone, I still won because I had a lot of cards with added Victory Points.
We realized this morning, we never awarded TR as we terraformed during the game! I was literally stuck on 5 the majority of game and it never dawned on me. Crazy to miss an integral rule after so many plays
@ksung Terraforming Mars is one of the go to games for my partner and me. I think it works pretty well and we always have a blast.

Turns out #terraformingmars was a little ambitious for a Monday night, but I won on the tie breaker, so that's something.
@hhavrilesky I had to look up what "symmetric" meant in board game parlance, and came across this:

So a game like #TerraformingMars would be strategic, engine building, (debatably) intuitive, but it's not symmetric, because you start as a corporation with distinct resources and potentially different advantages (though I think the starter pack of corporations are identical.)
I also think it's beautiful, thematic and engrossing, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
@britt Mostly been playing #TerraformingMars lately, but I'd love to get back to #SatisfactoryGame -- just need a decent Windows computer. Might be time to build a new one, now that #gpu prices are finally becoming reasonable again.
