Ciao!

Lasciatemi giocare ancora 5'...

Though I created an #introduction post when I first joined the Fediverse back in November of 2022, a quick reintroduction is in order…

My name is Jason Coward. I am a #SoftwareDeveloper by trade and the Chief Architect of MODX, an Open Source CMS project I co-founded twenty years ago. I am an enthusiastic amateur nature #photographer, a #drummer, and a father. I live in Durango, Colorado with my son. I also enjoy #scifi, #poetry (especially #haiku), #cooking, and #hiking.

New 2025 #introduction !

My name is Zander The Lion! I'm a #Nonbinary #Trans #Furry Lion! I think I most identify with the demigender and transneutral identities but those are a lot more specific and aren't as well known. I'm relatively new on my furry/therian & queer path but I've never been happier.

I'm trying to break out of my anti-social/introverted bubble by #gaming with good friends. Once you get to know me I can actually be quite the extrovert. Maybe autistically so lol. Been doing a lot more VR Chat lately but I do love me some multiplayer.

I'm an unknown streamer but I have made some friends through #jackbox that I play with people on Saturdays. I'm also planning on trying to make board game introductions on youtube.

I'm a #softwaredeveloper by trade working mostly (sadly) on legacy projects. I may complain about how people wrote terrible code from 10-15+ years ago.

I'm also a #convention volunteer with the intention of bringing enjoyment and safety to who I can. I would like to make this a full time career path with the main goal to help bring a safe environment.

I'm also a gentle and goofy lion. Just look at my stupid face! Meowr!

My company is looking for an #softwareDeveloper who's comfortable working with #MachineLearning systems.

Should be pretty strong with both or either of C# and Python and should be fairly senior (5-8 years of experience doing this stuff). #Postgresql experience is a plus.

Must be a US citizen. Remote only position (unless you're near the office and you _want_ to work from the office. It's entirely optional). Small-to-medium sized business.

DM me and I'll send you a link to the posting.

To be clear, this is not a position for a _machine learning engineer/specialist_, they're looking specifically for someone who can help ML specialists integrate things into our application, not to work on the ML bits themselves.

Also, I'm not the hiring manager, just a guy who works here.

Watching the BBC Panorama episode about the Post Office Horizon IT Scandal, I feel so so sorry for those who got caught up in an awful buggy system, and especially to those who took their own lives because of it.

For anyone who is a software developer, please watch the documentary. You need to realise that the software you write can actually impact people in *negative* ways.

My university is looking for a new software developer. It's proving a bit difficult for us, since we are looking for someone with an interest in Nordic cultural heritage, e.g. history and language.

Software developers are hard to find in general (e.g. "you need to know this long list of tech"), but once you add that extra humanities dimension, it's just insanely hard.

Hi, is this thing on? 🎤

Finally getting around to an #Introduction so here are the basics:

I'm Cali, I'm a #ProductManager for a #DataAnalytics #SaaS company. I love learning about new #Technology and am a wannabe #SoftwareDeveloper slowly learning how to code. 💻

I love going out and trying new #Food and #Drink spots. 🍻 Definitely need more #Tattoos, and want to start to #Travel more. ✈️

But mostly just hanging out with my #MiniatureDachshund.

I like meeting new people, so say "hi!" 👋

Long day (week?) at work and a realization; regardless of your profession, caring and having empathy will make you significantly better at your job well beyond actual ability (as a #softwaredeveloper this hits home more to me).

In other words, just give a shit about what you’re doing and the people you’re doing it with.

Hello Fediverse! Since I x-ed out X, I thought it was time I updated my #introduction:

My name is Stevie (She / Her / Mrs).

I am a #Jesus following, neurodivergent #SoftwareDeveloper who loves #science (from #space to #quantum), #stationary (from #paper to #fountainPens), and #stories (in all their forms and #writing too).

Sometimes I like to post lyrics that speak to me, more often I put my foot in my mouth, but I always try to promote being authentic rather than anonymous.

Re: #QuietCutting, apple.news/ABJ9BC6ZRQZqJPrAlQa, I was “quiet cut” in 2018 when #cPanel reassigned me to their security team. While I’m interested in #InfoSec subjects, I’ve been emphatically focused as a #SoftwareDeveloper for almost 20 years and didn’t have the background, skills, aptitude, or drive in the new role.

For six miserable months, I came to work every day feeling like an impostor until I found a #developer job at another company. Did they intend to get rid of me? Who knows.
