Electronics Faire at Temple was full of tiny delights. It was super cool learning about the history of BASIC games to bring coding to the people with @exquisitecorp and the history of other networks with an emphasis on arts and play with @loriemerson. The day ended with some atmospheric and intimate low db performances. The first one was by i <3 files (Clara Venice & Zsofi Valyi-Nagy) who were sending us electronic care waves with a commentary on sexism in the electronic music industry. There should hopefully be a recording soon! iheartfiles.studio/

Temple also has some popping food trucks. @iffybooks and I grabbed vegan falafel and crepes respectively for lunch. It was also super neat to get to see fedi folx like @ragman @palomakop @marblenote and @Famicoman.

Pictures were shot on a Sony CyberShot T-300. This was the perfect place to test it out. I had a moment of panic when the stabilizer went wild, fingers crossed this camera stays in good condition, because that's not something that can be replaced.

Tomorrow is the 2nd day of the Electronic Faire at Temple University! During the "sit and tinker faire", I plan to work on my personal website in HTML: Adding 88 x 31 buttons, a robots.txt page, and projects. I might also work on transcribing my dream journal into markdown files. Feel free to join me in that! I'm happy to chat about Iffy Books, the Philadelphia Mycology Club, and using the Air Gradient. You can find me wearing a SEPTA hat, mask, and pin that says "pixel" on it.

I'll also be attending @exquisitecorp's workshop "Programming a BASIC Game with Lee Tusman". Registrations are full but keep an eye out for slots that open last minute. charlesstudy.temple.edu/event/

Forecast Review:

The ECMWF-AI-Single model continues to be impressive. Its forecast for some sunshine through a considerable high layer of clouds has so far verified, in stark contrast to the GFS and NAM-NEST forecasting a dark low cloud day, even with drizzle. After years of 'doing the weather', this AI model appears to be the most impressive advance in forecasting I've seen. ... theweatherguy.net/blog/?p=23512

Yet Another AI Model ‘Experiment’

We had a sunny day today (Wednesday), very close to the AI model forecast.

I'm still seeing many of today's models forecasting low clouds for Thursday, but today's ECMWF-AI-Single model runs have only high cloudiness for Thursday, albeit with a thicker high cloud layer than forecast yesterday.

The latest ECMWF-AI-Single model just became available and it keeps its sunshine— ... theweatherguy.net/blog/?p=23512

Anyone going to the #Philly #Bike Expo? I'm planning on attending today and tomorrow, although I haven't actually left my house yet.

I've found it very helpful in the past. Last time we attended, we discovered helmets with microphones and speakers that network together with Bluetooth, to make it easier to carry on conversations without biking side-by-side. Also fashionable reflective clothing.
