So, #OTS (One Touch Switching) should have been "read the spec", "write and test the code", "done".

Sadly the spec is so bad, and the "working with other CPs" is so, err, "fun", that it has turned out way more "open ended". Still daily calls. Still unresolved issues, and pending fixes from CPs.

The problem is my brain will not let me get on with other important stuff until OTS is "finished".

Arrrg!

OK I’m going to float an idea on here. It looks like we won’t be able to cancel a “broadband switch” from losing side. So won’t be able to do “anti slamming”. Shame.

But to switch using OTS you have to have a match on surname (using some fun, and vague, rules for accented characters).

So we could allow customers to set any surname on a line, and use as a sort of “password”.

After all, you can call yourself what you like, and we have to accept changes to personal information.

Montrose Search and Rescue: "Today, our team responded to a vehicle over the side call on Angeles Forest Hwy at MM 19.36. The vehicle was about 300' over the side. By the time our unit arrived on scene, the patient had self-extricated and was on the roadway. The roadway was wet and slick. This weekend, we have had two other weather-related calls. One hiker was suffering from exposure in the snow and two cyclists needed to be rewarmed by us. When the weather is excessively cold, hot, windy, rainy, etc, please reconsider your plans to visit the wilderness. " #SearchAndRescue #SAR #OTS
