"Liar" is a song written by #RussBallard of #Argent from their 1970 self-titled debut album. It was released as the band's first #single, but did not chart. A version by #ThreeDogNight was released the following year and was featured on the band's album, #Naturally. It was the follow-up to the biggest hit of the band's career, "#JoyToTheWorld." #DannyHutton delivered the lead vocal and #RichardPodolor was the producer.

"After Midnight" is a rock song by #JJCale, first released in 1966. #EricClapton later covered it for his eponymous album, released in 1970. Clapton's rendition became a success, prompting Cale to re-record the song for his own 1971 album #Naturally. In 1987, Clapton later re-recorded the song for a #Michelob beer commercial and then released the re-recording as a single. "After Midnight" has been considered one of Clapton's #signatureSongs throughout his career.

"Joy to the World" is a song written by #HoytAxton and made famous by the band #ThreeDogNight. The song is also popularly known by its opening lyric, "Jeremiah was a bullfrog". Three Dog Night originally released the song on their fourth studio album, #Naturally, in November 1970, and subsequently released an edited version of the song as a #single in February 1971. The song, which has been described by members of Three Dog Night as a "kid's song" and a "silly song".
