So yet another reason I use https://inv.nadeko.net on #Firefox, cuz there's way less bs and it's recommendations ain't full of racist & facist #RageBait & #ClickBait!

My experience is similar to yours, Tyler: I use #Firefox, #uBlockOrigin and a bunch of other self-defence plugins, such as #decentraleyes and #PrivacyBadger, all running on Linux. With one exception, everything Just Works. The only site that requires #GoogleChrome is a private site run by my employer. That, IMHO, is just sloppy engineering; it shouldn't be hard to run an HR site without locking clients into a single browser.
Lauren, if you'd like to persevere with Firefox, you might consider typing about:profiles into the address bar, setting up a new profile (a trivial operation), and seeing if that works with the sites you want to use.

ICYMI, a while back I did release my #macOS app, Browser Actions.
BA lets you use #Apple #Shortcuts to automate #GoogleChrome, #MicrosoftEdge, #Vivaldi, #Chromium, #BraveBrowser, and #Safari – with actions for navigating, working with forms, clicking page elements, handling windows & tabs, getting data out, and more!

14d trial, perpetual licenses, no subs.
(I'd really appreciate some boosts – it's hard to get new apps noticed, and I'm struggling quite a bit

#GoogleChrome is going to keep third-party cookies turned on by default, but it's pretty easy to turn them off (along with other ad features) by putting a "managed policies" file in the right place. Saves having to remember to do it for all users and profiles. (And there's a similar file to control the built-in ad features in #Firefox, too.)

Google Chrome blocking Ublock Origin and Violentmonkey as of today. I wonder why.
Anybody else notice that #GoogleSheets suddenly no longer fully work in #Firefox 135? Typing ctrl-f and ctrl-h or selecting Find and Replace from the menu no longer opens the find / find-replace pop-up.
Did the Firefox folks break something, or did the #GoogleChrome folks break something? And if it's the Chrome folks, did they do it on purpose? Seems kind of monopolistic to me.
Of all the places where Google Chrome wouldn't run, I wouldn't pick the Ubuntu 24.10 live environment, but here we are.
I installed, but there's some problem with sandboxing, and it won't run:
Terminal output at the bottom after install:

My new app Browser Actions adds #macOS #Shortcuts support for #GoogleChrome, #MicrosoftEdge, #Safari, #Vivaldi, #Chromium, and #BraveBrowser! Now you can use Shortcuts to …
- create, find, filter, manipulate browser windows/ tabs/ pages
- work with browser menus
- send keystrokes, mimic typing
- interact w/ pages, click and scroll
- fill out forms
- extract info, selection as plain text or #Markdown (tables and everything!), the current DOM, all text content, etc.
@codepo8 #Google is a prime source for #Malvertising!
Does anyone else play #WebGames on #Firefox? I really appreciate Firefox for its strong focus on #Accessibility, the fact that it’s #OpenSource, and that
extensions like uBlock Origin still work fully here, unlike on #GoogleChrome. But I’ve been having some issues. When I tried playing a web game, the performance
became sluggish, my #ScreenReader didn’t always activate buttons when I pressed the spacebar, and sometimes the #browser froze completely, leaving me unable
to interact with it.
These problems might push me back to #MicrosoftEdge or Chrome unless there’s a fix. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips?

If you haven't heard of Zen browser, give it a go. Its definitely one of my favorites out of many.
I just heard the stupidest argument against breaking up #Google's monopoly with #GoogleChrome: Since Google significantly supports #Mozilla financially in maintaining #Firefox, this would mean, Chrome would yank Firefox into the abyss with it.
